On 30th November, Year 5 went on a fantastic trip to Warwick Castle. Despite being a very cold day, the children had a brilliant time! We took part in an informative Attack and Defence tour, learning about how the castle defended against enemy attacks. We also looked at the weapons that were used to defend the castle and attack the enemies. The children then went on the hunt for secret doors used for the Earl of Warwick to escape to the river alongside the castle. For the rest of the day, the children climbed the castle towers admiring the view, watched the Birds of Prey display and wandered through The Kingmaker's exhibition, getting a taste of what castle life was like. Well done year 5, you represented Joseph Turner Primary wonderfully, we are proud of you.
