This year has fled by with everything that has happened you don’t seem to have time to catch your breath.
Well Ofsted came and went, why do we worry? I don’t know, we all know we have a good school with excellent members of staff, who have worked very hard to achieve the progress our children have made. I must thank parents for your comments on the Ofsted survey about the school. It made the governors feel good, knowing you are happy to send your children to this school, knowing that they are safe, happy and well are being well taught.
Our attendance could always be better so let’s have a good go in the coming year in achieving our target of 96% and above. The school and staff are making a lot of effort with rewards for great attendance, which the children clearly enjoy. Please give us your support and lets get this attendance improving!
The senior leadership team are pleased that more parents are taking an interest and coming into school for various reasons to try to help their children with work at home. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you don’t understand yourself, they will be happy to help.
Pupil governors having done another grand job this year, putting forward children’s wishes of what they would like in school. The pupil voice at Joseph Turner is fantastic and they do such an important job in making Joseph Turner the great place it is.
Our trips are always a great success, we are not afraid to take our children out because they are always very well behaved. They credit to our school and parents.
Best wishes Year 6 in your transition to your new schools; remember the key values that you have been taught: eager to learn, proud to achieve
We have had several weeks of lovely weather and I understand it’s going to last for a while, so may I wish you all a very good holiday and look forward to see you in September.
