Edgmond Hall 2025
Day 1
On Day 1 of our residential trip to Edgmond Hall, the children were full of excitement as we explored our home for the next 3 days. After settling in, it was time for some very important elf training.
The children took part in a range of festive challenges designed to test their skills. They carried presents over and under obstacles, shovelled reindeer poo, and carefully lowered presents down a chimney using a grabber tool. They also practised hooking hoops around the reindeer’s antlers, throwing snowballs into the snowman’s mouth, and carefully carrying a tray of food and milk around a tricky track without spilling a drop. Everyone showed great teamwork, determination, and festive spirit throughout the activities.
In the evening, we wrapped up warm and set off on a magical night walk to search for Santa’s workshop. Along the way, the children discovered Santa’s seven super powers, adding to the excitement and wonder of the adventure. It was a fantastic end to a fun-filled first day at Edgmond Hall.
Day 2
Day 2 at our residential at Edgmond Hall was packed with festive fun! Despite a late night for some, the children were up bright and early to feed the chickens and goats, Holly and Tinsel. The day included Christmas crafts, the big Santa map trail, indoor play, and decorating the back-garden Christmas tree. The children also worked hard to stop the Grinches from stealing the presents!
There was time for free play in the mud, followed by showers and tea. The excitement continued with a very special visit from Santa, pass the parcel, musical chairs, birthday cake and celebrations, the conga, dancing… and finally, off to bed after a truly magical day.
