December - Celebrating Neurodiversity
Understanding Neurodiversity
Neurodiversity means that brains work in different ways. This includes conditions like Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and more. These differences are natural and part of what makes every child unique.
How Can Parents Help?
✅ Celebrate strengths – Notice what your child is great at (creativity, problem-solving, memory) and encourage these talents.
✅ Support challenges – If your child struggles with organisation, reading, or sensory issues, break tasks into small steps and use visuals.
✅ Create calm spaces – A quiet area at home can help with focus and reduce stress.
✅ Work with school – Share what works well at home and ask for strategies that can help in class.
