Making Music 

Children have been using a range of online tools to explore playing chords in order to create a final performance pieced based on music from South and West Africa. This topic brings together their singing and musical abilities in order to perform a traditional South African song. The hook for this unit was a video looking into the amazing click noises used to communicate in South Africa. The children have enjoyed exploring a new part of the world. 

Online Safety

Across the term children have been delving into life online and why it is important to keep ourselves safe. As part of one of the lessons children focused on a range of social media apps they access at home. We discussed the importance of following the rules and discussed age restrictions. They created posters to teach others about the importance of staying safe online both at home and at school.
