Celebrating World Book Day
What a fantastic start to World Book Day here at our school! This morning, Mrs Blackhurst led a wonderful assembly where our talented students showcased their incredible costumes, proudly dressed as their favourite book characters. From whimsical wizards to daring detectives, everyone looked absolutely amazing! Furthermore, our brilliant pupils unleashed their creativity by designing their own stories, featuring themselves as the main character, along with exciting superheroes and dastardly villains. As if that wasn’t enough excitement, we even had a surprise visit from a mysterious dinosaur! How thrilling! A huge thank you to all of our students for making this day truly magical and to the staff for their hard work in preparing such engaging activities.

Our class pet, Pebbles the parrot, has been on some truly thrilling adventures this half term! Baking Adventures: Egyptian Bread
Today, our little chefs embarked on an exciting culinary journey as they baked traditional Egyptian bread! From kneading the dough to practising good kitchen hygiene, the children embraced every step of the process. They put on their aprons, gathered their ingredients, and followed a recipe, honing their reading and comprehension skills along the way. Now, they'll evaluate their delicious creations and share their thoughts on the experience!
