What makes a good friend?
Talk about the story we have read this week called, The Rainbow fish.
Why was he sad at the beginning of the story? (because he had no friends).
Why was he happy at the end of the story? (because he had made some friends).
What did he do to make some friends?
(shared his sparkly scales and it made everybody happy).
Talk to the children and see if they can think of things they can do that would make them be a good friend.
See if they can draw a picture of their friends and write some of their 'good friend' ideas underneath.
