Can you use these pictures to help you re-tell the story in the correct order?
Think about who is in the story (characters).
Talk about where the story takes place (setting).
What happens in the story? (the events).
Might you be able to make up a different ending to the story?

Use the word mat as an example and make your own word and flash cards. Also make some name cards and use some pictures like the signs for CBeebies, Marvel, Netflix, shop signs etc Hide these around the house and use then for a game / hunt the symbol or word. The more times the children see the words and symbols the more they will begin to recognise them.
