This week our 'Special Recognition Award' is slightly different. Instead of choosing a child from each class, we have decided to give a huge 'Well done' to all of the parents, carers, grandparents and extended family who have been working hard to ensure your children have been continuing their learning at home over the past few months. 

We know that it has not been easy, and it has certainly been very different to what we are all used to, however we think you deserve a pat on the back for adapting to the change and thinking of new ways to engage your child with their learning at home.

We really do appreciate you taking the time to communicate with us via email and sending us photographs of what you have been up to.

We have chosen Mikey-J to receive our special award this week. He has enjoyed learning about the 'Sports' theme and has completed a sports day poster as well as designed his own t-shirt. Well done Mikey-J! Keep up the good work!

This week we have chosen Marley to receive our special award. Marley has been attending school and trying hard whilst there and he has also been continuing his learning at home. Marley has been practicing writing his numbers to 20 forwards and backwards as well as writing some fantastic sentences. He even found some time to fit in some singing!

This week we have chosen Olivia to receive our special award. She has been working really hard at home and following the 'Home Schooling' page. Olivia has been learning about 3D shapes, writing amazing sentences about her drawings and she has even created her own 'People who help us' book. We are all very impressed Olivia- keep up the good work!

This week we have chosen Armani to receive one of our special awards. He has been enjoying the sunshine and spending time outside. He even managed to catch a beautiful butterfly! Well done Armani- you were very brave. It is great to see that you are having lots of adventures and experiences at home.

This week we have chosen Hayden to receive our other 'Special recognition award'. He has really impressed us with his writing! Hayden has been practicing writing sentences as well as writing words as part of his Read, Write, Inc. work. Hayden also made a fantastic rocket from junk modelling and has created his very own passport. He has also worked hard to practice forming his numbers. Well done Hayden! Keep up the good work at home.

This week we have chosen Lariah to receive the 'Special recognition award'. She has been working really hard at home and has really enjoyed learning all about 'London'. Lariah has drawn beautiful pictures, practiced writing about each picture, and has also been working hard to write all of her numbers to 18. Well done Lariah! Keep up the good work.

This week we have chosen Harry to receive the 'Special recognition award'. He has been working hard at home when practicing his numbers. Number 8 is a bit tricky to write but Harry didn't give up, he kept on practicing until he could do it perfectly! Harry has also been reading and writing lots of CVC words. Well done Harry! This week we have had a tricky decision to make as we have been very impressed with the home learning from Marley and Clark. We couldn't choose between the two of them so we had to have both! We have been particularly impressed with Marley and Clark because not only have they been attending school this week they have continued their learning at home. Well done to both of you and keep up the hard work!

This week we have chosen Simrit to receive the 'Special Recognition Award'. We have been really impressed with all of the work she has been completing at home, she has obviously been working really hard on her learning! We have been particularly impressed with her letter formation, imaginative sentence writing and super maths skills. Well done Simrit! Keep up the good work.

This week I have chosen Isabella. She has been enjoying spending time with her family and doing lots of exercise by going on many walks around her local area. Isabella has also been drawing lovely pictures and practicing her writing. Isabella has recently celebrated her birthday and she spent the day celebrating with her family and opening her presents. It was lovely to see Isabella's big smiley face!

This week I have chosen Kian for my award. I have been really impressed with his number work and it was great to see him working hard when practicing writing his numbers as well as counting when jumping and clapping. Keep up the great work Kian!
