During this meeting...

The Governors ensured that the data and information provided in the Head Teacher's report was robust, rigorously compiled and gave a true reflection of the school's strengths. 

The Governors also monitored and scrutinised the effectiveness and progress made so far this year towards achieving challenging outcomes on the school development plan.

During this meeting...

Confidence within the board was evident in their challenging of previously circulated reports from the Head Teacher and SIA. This, alongside previous Governors' visits (as part of the monitoring cycle of teaching and learning) had ensured that the SLT were held accountable and were driving high standards.

Ofsted continuously rating the school as good demonstrated that the leadership and governance had high expectations for the schools and its pupils and the strategic overview that the governing body had in place was effective. There were high aspirations to drive the school to outstanding.
