What does the Pastoral Team do?

The role of the Pastoral Team is to offer support & guidance to pupils & their families.

Who is in our Pastoral Team?

Mrs R Darby - Family Support & Safeguarding Lead

Miss C Harrison - Attendance & Welfare Officer

Mr P Lea - School Counsellor

Miss B Gallagher - Positive Behaviour Mentor

They can help you with any issues you may have in relation to school & home life. They can offer support, provide information & advice e.g.

· Help completing forms

· Signposting to other agencies

· One-to-one meetings

· Support to contact agencies

· Support to write letters

· Information and communication through leaflets/handouts

Our school counsellor offers one to one counselling sessions to pupils and parents that have had life changing experiences such as a bereavement or a change in family dynamics.

Our school counsellor is here for you to share any additional information that you think may impact on your child's day so that the right support can be put in place.

Playtimes can lead to fallouts between friends. Our learning mentor is out on the playground to help the children solve their problems by encouraging them to use conflict resolution.

Our mentor has a focus on positive behaviour and works with all of our pupils.

How do you get in contact with the Pastoral Team?

The Pastoral Team work Monday to Friday during the school term.

To have an informal discussion about any issues or questions you may want to ask, you can call the main school line on 0121 557 8733 or ask to speak to a member of the team at the main school office.

Always happy to help!
