23rd October

It's ok to be different.

This week we have read the story, 'Giraffes can't dance'.

Gerald the Giraffe thinks that he can't dance.

Talk to the children about things they think they cant do.

Why do they think they can't do these things? Have they tried and tried?

What do they think their friends are good at?

Talk about what makes them the same and different from their friends.

See if they can try something new.

Can the children make up a dance to teach Gerald the giraffe and post a video on SeeSaw for us to watch. We could also have a go at school.

Can they make a friendship paper chain and colour in their friends to show how they are the same and different. Send us a picture.
