LO: To recognise British Landmarks

Task: Create a piece of artwork, based on a famous British landmark. 

  • Identify a famous British landmark, statue or monument and create your own artwork. This could be a sketch, painting or collage. 
  • Possible ideas: Big Ben, Nelson’s Column, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge.

Tuesday

LO: To understand why a landmark is important

Task: Research the landmark that you have created your artwork on and create a fact file.  

  • Possible questions you could answer:

When was it made? Why was it made? Who built/constructed it? How was it made? Why is it famous? How many people visit each year? 

  • You can choose how to present your information: write it, type it or record it.  You can be as creative as you wish.
