Welcome to Joseph Turner Primary School

I am extremely proud to be the Head Teacher of Joseph Turner Primary School. We strongly believe that children and their families are at the heart of everything we do. All of our staff are dedicated and are passionate about raising standards and improving the life chances of our children.

Vocabulary can be the key to unlocking a child's future. Our Curriculum aims to be fun and engaging as well as always introducing children to new words. It’s massively rewarding to work alongside my colleagues and pupils at this school, and in return, you can expect my very best.

Ofsted (May 2018) we continue to be judged us as ‘Good’ in all areas. Our aim now is to be ‘Outstanding’.

"The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection."

"The attention to the whole child is central to the ethos of the school and chimes well with the school motto, 'Eager to learn; Proud to achieve'."

"Leaders have high expectations of staff and pupils. This capable leaderships team had been as important driver for the school's continued improvement since the last inspections."

Eager to Learn, Proud to Achieve

We pride ourselves on our partnerships in promoting learning and wellbeing, our engagement with parents and carers and our effective guidance and support both academically and pastorally.

At Joseph Turner we promise you a nurturing ethos where children are ‘eager to learn and proud to achieve’. We have high expectations of all our children and we encourage them to inspire each other through their own aspirations, thirst for knowledge and love of learning so that all children reach their full potential.
Our aim is to be the best school for our pupils so that we can equip them with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to become lifelong learners. We are very proud of Joseph Turner Primary School and we encourage you to visit us so that you can see us in action and we can answer any questions you may have.
