See if the children can start to hear rhyme.

Tell them that rhyming words sound the same.

Look at the pictures and see if you can match them with the ones that rhyme.

Some children may struggle with this as it is a new concept but repetition of the activities in short bursts will help.

Look at the things a pet needs in order to keep it fit and healthy.

Cut out or draw the things each pet may need.

Don't do them all in one go, spread the work out over a few sessions.

 

(UW / PSED)

Either use playdough or draw the features on to the pets by following the instructions.
