Autumn 1
This half term we have begun to look at World War 2. The children have enjoyed learning about how life was affected during this time and especially how it impacted children, including evacuation and how this would impact lives.
The children also really enjoyed several experiments conducted in Science, most notably when we used our knowledge of classification to locate insects and group them, according to their observable characteristics.
Furthermore, we had our first visit to Glebefields library this half term. Year 6 enjoyed walking to the library and being able to choose books, while also listening to a story: read by one of Glebefields' librarians.
